Defoamer for aqueous cleaning solutions (silicone)

Purpose:

• This special agent is designed to prevent foam formation in aqueous, water-oil, and oil-water media.
• It is used for defoaming spent cleaning solutions containing surfactants, coolants, in wet vacuum cleaners, carpet and floor cleaning machines, bottle washing machines, and in various collection tanks and containers during circulation and mixing.

Area of application:

• The defoamer is used in various processes accompanied by abundant foam formation in textile, tire, rubber, pulp and paper, food, and other industries, at machine-building enterprises, utilities, public services, and in everyday life.

Application recommendations:

• The defoamer is introduced into an aqueous solution with increased foaming at a rate of 0.01—1 ml per 1 liter of solution or from 0.001% to 0.1% (for example, 1—100 ml per 100 liters of solution).
• To defoam spent cleaning solutions in tanks of carpet and floor cleaning machines, use the defoamer at a rate of 1—5 ml per 10 liters of volume.

Notes:

• Optimal defoamer concentrations are selected in each specific case depending on the quality and quantity of foam and the nature of the aqueous medium.
• Mix thoroughly before use.

Properties:

• Concentrated neutral liquid emulsion based on organosilicon compounds (silicones).
• Does not contain solvents. Dilutes with water in any ratio.
• The defoamer is effective in low concentrations (from 0.001% to 1%). It has a high defoaming capacity (foam fall rate — 0.05—0.06 cm/sec).
• Possesses hydrophobic properties.
• Effectively prevents foam formation or suppresses foam in aqueous cleaning solutions over a wide range of pH values (from 1 to 12) and a wide range of temperatures.
• The product is explosion- and fire-safe, non-toxic (hazard class IV), and environmentally harmless.
• It does not have general toxic, cumulative, or irritating effects on human skin and mucous membranes, and does not require special protective measures or safety procedures.
• Does not cause corrosive action on metals.
• When stored under unfavorable conditions (heat, frost), partial stratification of the product is possible, so thorough mixing is recommended before use.
• Defoaming properties do not change during the guaranteed storage period.

Technical specifications:

• Composition - water-soluble emulsion based on organosilicon compounds, emulsifiers, and dispersants.
• Appearance - homogeneous opaque liquid (emulsion) of white color (color change is possible during storage).
• Density - 0.98 ± 0.02 g/cm³ at t = 20°C.
• pH value - neutral
• Precautions:
• When working with working solutions:
• observe usual precautions for handling detergents;
• use rubber gloves;
• in case of contact with mucous membranes of the eyes — rinse thoroughly with water.

• Chemically resistant plastic bottles — 1 l.
• Storage conditions and guaranteed shelf life:
• Store in a dark, cool place at a temperature from +5 to +20°C.
• Store in a tightly closed container in places inaccessible to children.
• Avoid prolonged storage at sub-zero temperatures and overheating.
• After thawing, product stratification is possible, but active properties are retained.
