Why by weight?

• A large number of manufacturers and types of automatic transmissions causes a variety of oil pumps. They have different performance at different pressures. The additional throttling from the pump to the oil output point to the cooling radiator is also different. Therefore, it is practically impossible to level in real time the receipt of used oil from the transmission and the supply of fresh oil. If we take into account the difference in temperature of the extracted old oil and the new one supplied from the container to the unit, and the coefficient of thermal expansion, the most accurate method of oil replacement is replacement by weight. Moreover, both the extracted oil and the new oil filled into the transmission are weighed. The procedure is performed in portions, usually 1 liter at a time. This method protects the transmission even from a short-term drop in the oil level below critical and eliminates the mechanic's error.

Filling accuracy

Oil top-up

• ATF5000 is equipped with both automatic and manual oil top-up functions. This is important for the procedure of restoring the oil level in the transmission (level compensation mode) after replacement, according to specification. The top-up step is 0.1 l. Many manufacturers strictly regulate the temperature at which the procedure must be performed. For example, for FORD cars the temperature must be 65°C, for BMW - 30-50°C. To carry out the procedure, manufacturers recommend using test blocks in car scanners to monitor temperatures. In the case of ATF5000, monitoring is carried out by a sensor built into the unit.

Automatic transmission cleaning

• The procedure is carried out for cars with high mileage without oil replacement. To minimize the probability of damage to transmission elements during cleaning, a special mode has been developed. Supply of new oil with cleaning fluid is done in portions (by default - 2 liters) in three stages. Between supplies the unit switches to "ring" mode; it is necessary to shift the transmission gears. The amount of oil and the time of each stage can be set by the mechanic independently. Such a stage-by-stage mode allows washing off deposits in a gentle mode to prevent rapid filter clogging and dangerous oil starvation of the transmission.

3 cylinders

• The ATF5000 unit is equipped with 3 cylinders for oil samples. The first cylinder is for new oil, the second is for oil coming from the transmission. The third cylinder is designed to take an oil sample at the beginning of the replacement procedure. Thanks to this, you will be able to reasonably justify the need for replacement by showing the customer the condition of the oil before the procedure and the current condition after replacement.

40-liter tank with auto-drain

• ATF5000 is equipped with a 40-liter drain container, which allows replacement with two or even three volumes without draining. The oil measurement system will inform you in a timely manner about the need to drain the fluid. For comfortable implementation of the procedure, the unit provides pump draining.
