The TOMAHAWK® 1538 plasma cutting system, designed specifically for operation in harsh conditions. It uses the tunnel cooling technology developed by Lincoln, a technology for isolating boards and other vulnerable parts from the contaminated cooling air flow.
When developing the new plasmatrons, Lincoln focused on three key aspects:
1) the use of an innovative patented ignition system increases the service life of the electrodes;
2) the high-speed spiral air flow combined with the special design of the electrode and nozzle allows better concentration of the plasma column;
3) the air cooling system of the electrode and plasmatron significantly increases the service life of wearing materials and the plasmatron as a whole.
